River Inn of Harbor Town, one of Memphis’ hidden gems, is seeking full time Front Desk Agents. Be the first face guests see when they walk into this prestigious hotel and make an impression they won’t forget. Our housekeepers help to maintain our high quality standards of a clean and serene space.

Reports To
Reports to the Front Desk Manager. In the event of the Front Desk Manager’s absence, reports to the Assistant Front Desk Manager.

Job Overview
The Front Desk Agent serves as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. The Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. You will need to be customer service focused and professional. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Job Requirements

  • Performs all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manages online and phone reservations
  • Informs guests about payment methods and verifies their credit card data
  • Registers guests, collecting all necessary information
  • Provides all billing details, information about hotel, availability, rates, and amenities to guests
  • Responds to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicates with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean and ready to accommodate guests
  • Upsell restaurants on the property and has extensive knowledge of on property restaurants and menus
  • Maintains records of bookings and payments
  • Is prepared to answer all guests’ questions and obtain information they may request
  • Has extensive knowledge of Opera
  • Maintains a friendly, customer service attitude at all times
  • Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • All other duties assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • +1 years Front Desk Agent experience required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Available to work shifts over the weekends, evenings, and public holidays
  • Background Check required before hiring.
 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull to move objects and/or luggage
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

    Reports to the Executive Housekeeper. In the event of the Executive Housekeeper’s absence, reports to the General Manager.

    Job Overview
    As a Housekeeper, you will be attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

    Job Requirements

    • Performs a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, etc.
    • Ensures all rooms are cared for and inspected according to the River Inn’s standards
    • Notifies Executive Housekeeper of any damages, deficits, and disturbances to the property immediately
    • Works quickly without compromising the quality
    • Replenishes guest room supplies as needed
    • Ensures the security and privacy of hotel guests while performing work
    • Maintains positive guest relations at all times
    • Is familiar with all hotel services, local attractions, and can quickly respond to guest inquires
    • Removes dirty bed linen and makes beds with new linen
    • Updates status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheets
    • Returns and restocks cart at the end of shift
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
    • All other duties assigned

    • Ability to follow instructions and keep order

    • A willingness to go above and beyond for our guests
    • Background Check required before hiring.
